Vegetarian fast food with a twist

The era of Mr and Mrs Pandya’s, Duka Ya Tambu ended in 2014, due to retirement, after a successful 47 years in business.

It had first opened its doors in 1968, serving the popular ‘Paan’ to the local Asian community, evolving in the 80’s to become a fast food take away, offering the famous and very popular DYT Veggie Burger and Chip Butty Special, amongst other mouth-watering dishes.

Due to popular demand, coupled with a personal passion, Mr and Mrs Pandya’s younger Daughter, Leena, has relaunched their original concept with her own personal touch and vision.

Having spent a successful career of 29 years within hospitality management she certainly has the experience to bring this dream alive!

The intention is to bring back to you, the well- loved and popular Duka Ya Tambu specials in the same setting and location; upgraded, including a mouth watering menu with a twist to get those taste buds going!
